This was a poster design project about Indigenous poverty in Canada. The goal was to create awareness about the realities of living in Canada as an Indigenous person. The target audience are the average Canadians who don’t know much about Indigenous peoples. All of the content was provided to me from the client.

In the early stages, I knew I wanted to have an icon to go with each statistic. I had sketched them all out and how I wanted them to be presented. I also knew I wanted to visually show the timeline. I decided to display it with a river because I wanted to have a nature element to the poster.
